He was born in Duesseldorf in 1978. Having studied under Barbara Szczepanska and Klaus Hellwig among others, he has become one of the leading pianists of his generation. He has performed extensively around the world in solo recitals and under the baton of leading conductors, and won prizes at international competitions. His comprehensive repertoire spans the baroque period up through music of the 21st century. He has contributed to several CD recordings.
