Gabriella Létay Kiss studied voice at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music and graduated in 1999. In 2000, she won first prize in Hungarian Radio’s singing competition.
Since the 2001/02 season, she has worked as a soloist at the Hungarian State Opera. She started her career as a lyric mezzo-soprano before making her début as a soprano in the role of Liù in Puccini’s Turandot in 2005. In 2006, she recorded her first solo CD, titled The Complete Songs of César Franck.
