"We musicians are a lucky lot. The thing we do that brings other people pleasure also brings us our own greatest pleasure – if all goes well." (János Ferencsik)
I was born in Salgótarján, where I started to study the cello with Erzsébet Farkas at the music school there. I then went on to the Béla Bartók High School of Music in Békéscsaba, as a student of Katalin Sin's, and from there to the Liszt Academy, where I earned my degree in 1993 under the guidance of Tamás Koó.
After joining the Hungarian Virtuosos Chamber Orchestra in 1992 and spending nearly a decade there, I was hired by the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra in 2001.
I consider myself fortunate to have found my place right here, working with so many outstanding fellow musicians.
