Atilla Kiss B. made his début in Kolozsvár (Cluj-Napoca) in 1992, after graduating from the city’s Gheorghe Dima Music Academy.
He achieved his first breakthrough success in Hungary in the title role of Don Carlos. His portrayal of Bánk bán, partnered with Éva Marton and Andrea Rost, in Csaba Káel’s 2002 film was a marvel to behold, and he won the Liszt Award in that same year. He also considers it his task to take part in staging works by contemporary composers like Sándor Szokolay, Görgy Ránki, Attila Bozay and Emil Petrovics.
