My name is Sándor Harangozó. I was born in Kolozsvár (Cluj-Napoca) on 27 January 1966 and graduated from the High School of Music there in 1984 after studying under Gabriella Contantin. Four years later, I enrolled in the city's Gheorghe Dima Academy of Music, earning my degree in 1992 under the guidance of Ilse Herbert. I joined the Kolozsvár Philharmonic Orchestra as a cellist in 1989, while still a student. After completing my studies, I settled in Hungary, initially working in the Hungarian State Opera Orchesta from 1993 until 2001. In 1996, I also joined the Budapest Cello Ensemble, where I remained a member for 15 years. I have played cello with the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra since 2001.
