Beatrix Fodor completed her studies at the Budapest Music Academy in 2000 as a student of Júlia Pászthy and at her graduation, was chosen as the recipient of the Margit Szilvássy Memorial Prize. She then undertook post-graduate studies at opera studios in Graz and Vienna. She came second in the Salzburg Mozart competition and first in the Prague-Vienna-Budapest Summer Academy competition. She has given concerts in America and Australia, Holland, Germany and Austria. She has largely concentrated on Mozart so far in her career, but Beatrix Fodor has also appeared in Austrian performances of the Verdi and Dvořák Requiem, partnering soloists from the Staatsoper.
