Nyolc évesen kezdett zongorázni, emellett ütőhangszereken és hegedűn is tanult. 2001-től A Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Egyetemen Nádor György és Kemenes András növendéke. 2006-tól az Akadémia doktori iskolájának hallgatója, 2011-ben cum laude minősítéssel doktorrá avatják.
Dávid Báll started to play the piano when he was eight and he got admitted to the Béla Bartók Conservatory of Music in Budapest at the age of 12. He enrolled the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in 2001, his professors being György Nádor András Kemenes and Ferenc Rados, where he also completed his master studies in 2011 with great honour. He got several prizes including the third prize at the International Grieg Piano Contest in Oslo, in 2009, and the Audience Prize at the Sendai International Piano Competition in Japan. In Hungary besides other important awards, he was the proud winner of the Sándor Végh Competition in 2011. He appeared on stage together with Zoltán Kocsis and the National Philharmonic: he was the soloist of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 in E flat major and Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in A major. Besides his piano recitals, he teaches at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music as a Piano Assistant Professor.
