Bálint Kruppa began playing the violin when he was six years old. He gained valuable orchestral experience as concertmaster of the Liszt Academy Symphony Orchestra – under the direction of Zoltán Kocsis, among others. He is currently mainly focusing on chamber music, and regularly presents new works with his own quartet, the Kruppa Quartet. In 2015, he won the Annie Fischer Scholarship, the Gundel Art Award and the Junior Prima Award.
